Updated Wordpress

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

I’ve updated my Wordpress blogging tool with the latest version so you may see some bugs.   Please let me know if you see any bugs.

I still have yet to implement the new photo album that I want to use.  I didn’t have much time to test it out, but I’m hoping that I’ll have a little more time this week.

Looking for a New Photo Album Plugin

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

This is another boring post by me. The only reason I’m posting this is for me to keep track of what I do on this site. If you’re interested, read on. Otherwise, read something else.

I’ve been using ZenPhoto for my photo album, but it isn’t as integrated with Wordpress as I would like it to be. So I started looking into real Wordpress plugins, but most of them seem to suck. I did find one called ANIga gallery that seems to be good. It already has support for sub categories and a slideshow. Yet its very simple, which is what I am looking for. I’m testing it out and I like it, I’ll have to move everything over to the new plugin.

Birthday Dinner at Dinosaur's BBQ

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

dinosaurbbqnyc_1.jpgMy friends took Ru, Nan, and me out for some dinner at Dinosaur BBQ. Those that know me know I LOVE BBQ so it was a nice treat. Byron made some reservations for us through OpenTable so we didnt have to wait too long.

The food was always good, as usual. We started off with some Honey Bar-B-Que and HOT Wango Tango Chicken Wings. Both were good but I liked the Wango Tango flavor better. When our main course came, we all enjoyed the feast. I had a 3/4 rack of ribs with Creole Potato Salad and French Fries. The Creole Potato Salad was pretty damn tasty, and this is coming from someone that doesnt like potato salad that much. Some of my friends ordered the combination platter so they can sample a little bit of everything. The chicken wasnt as good, but everyone agreed that the ribs were excellent.

20070113_211527_bhWith that said, I did like the chicken wings better than the ribs. Dont get me wrong. The ribs were excellent, and you wont be disappointed with them. I just found the wings much tastier. Is Dinosaur my favorite? No. In my opinion, I think Famous Dave’s BBQ has slightly better ribs and much better chicken. You wont go wrong going to Dinosaur, but I still give my number one slot for BBQ to Famous Dave’s. For pics, look at the albums section or click on the picture to the right. For those of you interested, here is the info on this BBQ place:

iPhone

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Apple announced that it is releasing the iPhone. I have one thing to say. I WANT IT. It looks so cool. There are no buttons to make it look like a phone. Everything is based on the touch screen, and in genuine Apple style, it is intuitive. Even a retard like me should be able to figure it out. Hell, looks like my mom will be able to use it as well.

Besides the phone, you can listen to all your music, watch videos, browse pictures, and browse the web using a full fledge web browser and Wi-Fi. Yes wireless 802.11b/g networks. I know i sound like a fan boy, but this phone looks soooooo cool.

Look at the demo on the official site:

Here is the link to the Engadget site where they describe the phone and how to use it:

Hard to Find Wii

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

My friend Byron was able to get the Nintendo Wii from Target during lunch. I asked him to pick one up for me, but they only allowed him to pick up one. Oh well. I guess I’ll have to wait. Damn him. I WANT A WII!!!!

I really wanted to get one and play it. I keep hearing about how much fun it is to play, and I hear a lot of stories about people throwing the controllers while playing. If you havn’t guessed, they are throwing it because they get so into the game with the motion sensing controller, not because they are angry. They even have a site about people doing this (http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com).

Miami Mini Vacation

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

I went to Miami over the weekend with Byron and Dave. It was nice to get away form the cold New York weather and relax a bit there. We had a OK time, but we just didn’t have enough time to do everything. Some of the things we wanted to do was stupid, like the sequarium we went to. Anyhow, I’ll post more about it next time.

I took some pics as well. As soon as I get all the pics from Dave and Byron, I’ll post them up.
