I’ve added a few pics from Linda’s surprise birthday party that Nan so lovingly planned. It was great. He told her we’re celebrating her bday at Minado. Then he buys food and sneaks it in the house at odd hours of the night for a whole week. He asked her friends to distract her for a few hours while he tries to prepare some food in the limited time she’s out of the house. It seemed she was really surprised since she was screaming at him for being so late in picking her up from his parent’s that they would never get to Minado in time. Anyhow as always, enjoy.

Albums Back Up and New Pics Added
February 19th, 2008
I got the albums back up. I upgraded to a new version of ZenPhoto, but I don’t have time to retheme it to look like the rest of the site. That will come later. At least the pics are up.
Added the following pics as well:
Btw, links to all the old albums from my past posts will not work properly. I’ve recategorized my pics into subalbums since ZenPhoto supports it. I have to change the links in the past posts. For now, you can access them by directly going to the gallery and browsing for them.
Edit: 2008.02.25- All links to the albums have been fixed.
Albums Down for Maintenance
February 16th, 2008I’m making a few modifications to the Album pages so it will be down for a bit.
Also, pictures in past posts referenced these images so they will be down as well.

National Park – Gorgrous; Old City – Dirty
January 25th, 20082008.01.24
Impressions![]()
Cold. The highest point in Thailand is cold. Being unprepared for the cold weather here, I was not feeling too good. Also, either due to altitude or something, I was feeling sick.
The National Park is nice, and I would have enjoyed the beautiful gardens and water falls a lot more if I wasn’t feeling so sick.
One thing I have to comment on: ChangMai is dirty. From the peak, you can clearly see where the smoggy purple haze ends and where the nice blue sky begins.

Elephants – Magnificent; Tribal Village – Too Touristy???
January 24th, 20082008.01.23
Impressions
I rode on an elephant’s back!!! It was an amazing experience. When I first saw these magnificent creatures, I was in awe at their sheer size and beauty. Seeing them up close and they are even more amazing.
Riding on the harness seats placed on the elephants back is amazing, but I got to actually ride on the elephant’s bare neck while the trainer took pictures for us from the ground. It was an exhilarating experience.

ChangMai – Cold
January 22nd, 20082008.01.22
Impressions
Brrrr. It’s cold in ChangMai, at least compared to Bangkok.
Dinner time. Wow. We were expecting a nice local dinner so we were surprised to see the lovely Lanna style houses, bridges
and river. Where are the tables? No tables? Not for Lanna dinner. You sit down on mats on the floor and eat while watching the various Lanna dancing in the center of the wide open area.
ChangMai Night Market, just another touristy night market.
